Service uniforms vary widely. Dress uniforms in wool or polyester-wool blend, with insignia and ribbons, are typically dry cleaned with extra care taken around the brass and the awards rack. Combat uniforms in cotton or rip-stop fabric are usually laundered.
Insignia, name tapes, ribbons and patches are inspected before cleaning. Loose threads are noted and we can repair them on request.
At Joy we ask at intake whether the awards rack should stay on the uniform during cleaning or be removed. Both options are available depending on your preference.
